Some background on me, I am a British born 1st generation Punjabi woman. I believe that my heritage plays a big part in shaping my outlook and brings many values and influences into my personal life, as well as my professional life. With a work history spanning decades in tech and having the privilege of working for world renowned tech giants such as Hewlett Packard and Microsoft, I have now ventured into the world of Insurance. I recently took a position working for a powerhouse female entrepreneur, who launched her own businesses under the umbrella of Freedom Services Group. Working in Projects and Programme Management has equipped with the transferrable skills that has allowed me to move industries with ease. My values are heavily focused on ensuring I focus on the solution and not the problem. Success is not always defined by what we see, therefore business outputs are not always the end goal. It’s the contribution an individual makes to the process along the way, that is sometimes the real goal. Empowering all those you work with, is the real winner. As a mother to a young daughter, I see the world through her eyes. I am mindful, daily, of who is watching me and the guidance I am providing. Not only am I helping shape another life and future I am learning a lot myself from that young mindset.
