Jonathan H. King is a technology executive and entrepreneur currently serving as VP of Global Cloud Solutions for Savvis, A Century Link Company. In this role, Jonathan leads strategy, sales, partnerships and global go to market cloud activity for Savvis.
Prior to Savvis, Jonathan was SVP of WW Business Development at Joyent, a leading cloud services, open source and software pioneer based in San Francisco. Before Joyent, Jonathan held various positions with Verizon leading teams selling and architecting hosting, managed services and outsourcing solutions for commercial and government customers. Jonathan joined Verizon by way of acquisition when Totality was acquired by MCI/Verizon. Prior to Totality, Jonathan was VP of Strategic Alliances for Exodus Communications where he led a global team responsible for expanding and integrating global partner solutions. Prior to joining Exodus, Jonathan was Manager of Strategic Applications for American Information Systems (“AIS”), a Chicago based ISP and hosting provider which was acquired by Exodus. Prior to AIS, Jonathan was an attorney in the Corporate, Securities and Intellectual Property group of Sachnoff and Weaver, Ltd, now the Chicago office of Reed Smith, LLP.
Jonathan holds a Juris Doctorate from Loyola University Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in History fom Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Jonathan is currently pursuing an LLM in Intellectual Property and Technology Law at Washington University School of Law with an emphasis on privacy law and data ownership.
