Rise, the Gloucester based provider of Cloud infrastructure and hosted services, is delighted to announce the promotion of Alex Hilton to Managing Director of the company, having successfully built sustainable partnerships through the Rise brand as Sales Director since joining the company in June 2010.
With well over 100 partners signed in the UK and US, a new strategic relationship with Ingram Micro UK, and a number of other significant anonymous white label partners, the Rise business flourished in 2011. In conjunction with being awarded Microsoft’s Global Hosting Partner of the Year in 2011, the business has grown at a very rapid pace and now warrants recognition as its own entity within the broader group.
Andy Burton, CEO Rise said: “We are exceptionally pleased to be able to promote Alex from within the company to Managing Director. Not only can Rise benefit from his wealth of experience, channel and industry knowledge, but he also understands the goals of the company and how we hope to achieve them.”

Alex has over 20 years of experience working in the software industry, with 12 years at Microsoft managing partner relationships, anti-piracy and compliance initiatives culminating in building and running their Software Asset Management business. He is also a non-executive board director of the Federation Against Software Theft.
