Cloud Industry Forum allies with Cloud Expo Europe

Non-profit organisation, The Cloud Industry Forum has joined forces with Cloud Expo Europe. The strategic partnership is part of CIF's aim to drive transparency amongst the industry and to encourage best practice amongst cloud service providers.

CIF Members and companies having completed certification against the Code of Practice will be show-cased at this event, along with a Theatre dedicated to end user and service provider transparency and education,  by sharing real world end user case studies relating to their their practical experiences in considering, implementing and operating cloud or hosted services.

Andy Burton, chairman of CIF, welcomes people to join the discussion on the future of Cloud Computing and what issues need to be addressed in order to achieve unhindered adoption of private, public and hybrid cloud solutions.

“The rapid adoption and growing interest in cloud computing makes events like Cloud Expo Europe highly relevant, by bringing the industry together to address end user concerns such as transparency, accountability and capability,” Andy added, “We believe that The Cloud Industry Forum’s alliance with Cloud Expo Europe represents a significant opportunity to present independent thinking, evidence and experience of end user and service provider  best practice for cloud adoption and to raise and overcome the current issues impacting them.”

Cloud Expo Europe will also offer practical incentives and promotion of service providers who are certified to the CIF Code of Practice to make it easier for end user visitors to clearly distinguish between those businesses that have signed up to the Code and those who have not.  To that end we are also collaborating to provide organisations that sign up to exhibit at Cloud Expo Event a 50% discount on the registration fee for the Code of Practice as an incentive to leverage the benefit of Certification across their business and in their market outreach.
